Before the COVID-19 crisis, 1 in 5 individuals in San Francisco and Marin was at risk of hunger. Since then, the number of people who experience and are at risk for food insecurity has dramatically increased. Even though restrictions are lifting, families are still rebounding from the lingering effects of the pandemic. The Food Bank serves more than 50,000 households compared to 32,000 pre-pandemic. The good news is that for every $5 that you give, the Food Bank can provide 10 meals to our neighbors in need!
